KRILLMAT S.R.L. is among the companies awarded the Next Fashion grant, an initiative of the PR FESR Lombardia 2021-2027 funded by the European Union and dedicated to supporting innovation projects for the textile, fashion, and accessories sector.
The grant promotes Industrial Research and Experimental Development activities aimed at accelerating the sustainable transition of the supply chain, encouraging collaboration between companies and the adoption of solutions with high technological and environmental value.
In this context, REBORN is the project developed by KRILLMAT with the objective of transforming textile supply chain waste into innovative high-performance biopolymers, intended for the production of rigid accessories and mannequins through injection molding and rotational molding technologies.
The project stems from the commitment to develop alternative materials to traditional plastics, capable of combining technical performance, aesthetic quality, and environmental sustainability, contributing concretely to the circular evolution of the fashion sector.
Through REBORN, KRILLMAT aims to valorize textile residues as a new productive resource, reducing the environmental impact of industrial processes and promoting more responsible and innovative production models.
The grant award represents an important recognition of the research and development path undertaken by the company and strengthens KRILLMAT’s commitment to designing sustainable materials for the design, fashion, and industrial supply chains.
