REKRILL® Orange is a plant-based polymer from orange peels obtained from Sicilian citrus pressing waste. It is designed for industry, to create products that require flexibility and customization possibilities.
It is the first biopolymer developed by KRILLMAT and the first in the REKRILL® range.
THE FIRST REKRILL® RECIPE
Orange peels from juice production become the organic component of REKRILL® Orange. A bio-based material derived from citrus waste characterized by good processability and a natural aesthetic that is easily customizable.
The soft plant fibers of orange peels promote particularly fluid behavior during processing, even in the presence of complex geometries.
The natural shade recalls that of the citrus fruits from which the material originates, but can be customized according to the project.
From a technological standpoint, the orange peel polymer is suitable for extrusion, injection molding, rotational molding and 3D printing, and does not require adaptation of existing lines or machinery.

REKRILL® Orange is born from a process that transforms peels and waste from oranges from the Sicilian citrus supply chain into an innovative, highly sustainable material, ready to be used in industrial production.
The peels come from waste from the production of 100% made in Italy citrus juices. A natural raw material destined for disposal, which instead enters a new supply chain.
The peels, dried and reduced to fine powder directly in our facilities, become a light and homogeneous organic filler: a formulation ready for industrial production.
During the proprietary compounding process, the filler is incorporated into the bio-based matrix together with any natural pigments. The result is a formulation with distinctive aesthetic characteristics.
