Every REKRILL® product grade originates from a different waste product of the Italian agri-food industry, processed into a bio-based biopolymer that preserves the character of the original material.
Biodegradable and compostable, it can be processed using main plastic transformation technologies, without requiring the conversion of plants or molds. A material designed to simplify the transition toward more sustainable solutions.
From raw material to finished product
Every stage of our production is part of a virtuous, low-impact supply chain that returns value to food waste instead of sending it for disposal.
The material’s characteristics make it suitable for numerous production fields. It can be used for packaging, fashion, design and furniture, food & beverage, electronics, household appliances, and other industrial sectors.
Unlike recycled plastics or common bioplastics, our ecological material uses the non-edible parts of food and closes the cycle with complete biodegradation, without releasing microplastics into the environment, even in the sea.
Our biopolymers are versatile and customizable: colors that evoke the original material or custom-created shades, bespoke textures and finishes, from natural grain to glossy or matte surfaces.
Our circular material offers high technical performance, fully comparable to that of petrochemical plastics, combined with a new aesthetic of sustainability. Choosing it means generating measurable circularity and contributing concretely to a more sustainable future.
