Milan, April 15, 2026. This year we will be present for the first time at the Salone del Mobile Milano, one of the leading international events dedicated to design and innovation. We will participate in SaloneSatellite, as part of a curated selection hosted by ITA – Italian Trade Agency, which showcases organizations capable of proposing new design visions and innovative materials.

For the occasion, we will present a collection of furnishings made with our coffee-based material, developed by Slide srl using rotational molding technology. This established industrial process enables the production of resistant, durable products suitable for real-world applications, demonstrating how these materials can be integrated into existing production chains without compromising performance.

Coffee is the common thread of the exhibited project, but it represents only one of the possible applications of broader research involving different types of by-products. The objective is to build a flexible material platform capable of adapting to different matrices while maintaining quality, stability, and processability.

Coffee is also at the heart of the Fuorisalone collaboration with Slide srl and Starbucks Italia. Starting from coffee grounds collected at Starbucks locations, a custom formulation was developed that led to the creation of a furniture line designed by designer Favaretto. A project that translates a circular supply chain into concrete products, maintaining coherence between the origin of the material, design language, and intended use.

This collaboration represents a concrete example of an integrated supply chain: from collection of the by-product to its transformation into material, through to development of the finished product. A model that demonstrates how material innovation can generate value throughout the entire production chain.

Participation in SaloneSatellite therefore represents not only a showcase, but a key moment to communicate our approach: transforming organic resources into industrial materials, placing matter at the center of the project and contributing to redefining the role of materials in contemporary design.
