Recovery of food production residues
The residues of hazelnut shells come from processes in the confectionery industry in the northern areas of the Peninsula. An organic waste that is essential to give unique characteristics to our biopolymers.
REKRILL® Nut is born from the recovery of hazelnut shells from the confectionery industry
During application tests, REKRILL® Nut showed excellent thermal resistance, proving to be a reliable solution for machining and processes that reach high temperatures.
The natural "hazelnut" pigmentation, more or less intense depending on the concentration of the organic component, gives the material a distinctive and authentic aesthetic.
Like all biopolymers in the REKRILL® family, this variant can also be customized both in terms of color and finish texture.
This version of REKRILL® can also be processed with existing production lines (injection molding, extrusion, rotational and 3D printing), without having to perform updates or transformations of any kind.

The residues of hazelnut shells come from processes in the confectionery industry in the northern areas of the Peninsula. An organic waste that is essential to give unique characteristics to our biopolymers.
Our drying-grinding plant pulverizes the original residue and removes moisture, creating a powder (called filler) of organic base ready to be used.
Through a patented process, in a compounder we mix and heat bio bases, fillers and any other components such as dyes (where you want to change the color from the original one of the filler to a desired color), also all natural and organic. The resulting mixture is then extruded into a filament and from this the REKRILL® minipellets.
