Recovery of food production residues
The silver skin, the thin residual film from coffee roasting, is supplied by industrial roasters in northern Piedmont. A real treasure to which our patented production process gives new life.
REKRILL® Coffee was born from the enhancement of Silver Skin, the thin film that separates from the coffee bean during roasting.
The particular waxy component of Silver Skin gives the material superior functionality in additive manufacturing processes, offering excellent performance in 3D printing. REKRILL® Coffee can also be used with other production technologies (injection, extrusion and rotational molding), like all the products in this biobased line.
The natural color has the typical shades of brown with a fine and organic texture. Through dedicated formulations, REKRILL® Coffee can be customized to achieve specific color and look & feel needs.

The silver skin, the thin residual film from coffee roasting, is supplied by industrial roasters in northern Piedmont. A real treasure to which our patented production process gives new life.
Our drying-grinding plant pulverizes the original residue and removes moisture, creating a powder (called filler) of organic base ready to be used.
Through a patented process, in a compounder we mix and heat bio bases, fillers and any other components such as dyes (where you want to change the color from the original one of the filler to a desired color), also all natural and organic. The resulting mixture is then extruded into a filament and from this the REKRILL® minipellets.
