KRILLMAT S.R.L. is among the companies selected under the Next Fashion call, an initiative within the PR FESR Lombardia 2021–2027 programme funded by the European Union and dedicated to supporting innovation projects in the textile, fashion, and accessories sector.
The programme promotes Industrial Research and Experimental Development activities aimed at accelerating the sustainable transition of the supply chain by encouraging collaboration between companies and the development of solutions with high technological and environmental value.
Within this framework, KRILLMAT developed REBORN, a project focused on transforming textile supply chain waste into high-performance innovative biopolymers intended for the production of rigid accessories and mannequins through injection molding and rotational molding technologies.
The project stems from the ambition to develop sustainable alternatives to traditional plastics, combining technical performance, aesthetic quality, and environmental responsibility while contributing to the circular evolution of the fashion industry.
Through REBORN, KRILLMAT aims to enhance textile waste as a new production resource, reducing the environmental impact of industrial processes and promoting more responsible and innovative manufacturing models.
The award of this funding represents an important recognition of the company’s research and development path and further strengthens KRILLMAT’s commitment to designing sustainable materials for the design, fashion, and industrial sectors.
